Today, you will be greeted upon arrival in Chandigarh by our agent who will then assign you your bike. Take the bike for a little spin to see if it matches your riding style.
Once all the basic formalities are done, start your journey form Chandigarh to Narkanda via Shimla. The roads are well tarred however there may be a few patches on the highway which may not be tarred due to the ongoing construction of the 4-lane project.
After about 3-4 hours from Chandigarh, you will be reaching the summer capital of the British India, i.e. Shimla. You may have a short break here to grab a meal and we will then continue our journey towards Narkanda, which is about 2 hours ride from the town.
On reaching Narkanda, you will check into your hotel / campsite and then grab some rest along with a hearty dinner.
Today, you will start early in the morning after having your breakfast as the journey is a bit long. Today’s destination is going to be Chitkul, which is the last inhabited village on the Indo – Tibetan Border.
You will be riding along the river Satluj into the Kinnaur District and then along the river Baspa towards Chitkul. On the way to Chitkul, you will be crossing dams, small towns like Rampur, Tapri, Sangla, Batseri and Rakcham.
The overnight stay is in a hotel / campsite, where you will be served a scrumptious dinner, following which you can grab a restful sleep.
Have a hearty breakfast and post that we will start our journey towards Kalpa. We will be riding on the same route we came from till Karcham and from there follow the road that goes towards Reckong Peo, which serves as the primary headquarters of the Kinnaur District.
A few more kilometres from Reckong Peo will lead you to Kalpa, a small beautiful town overlooking the mighty Kinner Kailash Peak. You’ll find beautiful apple orchards and a small buddhist monastery here.
Check-in to your accommodation to grab some rest and to have a delicious dinner.
Today, you’ll be waking up to a thrilling day full of excitement and adventure as you will be riding on one of the most scenic routes in Himachal.
After a long journey of almost a day, you will be reaching Kaza, the biggest town of the Spiti Valley that lies on the East bank of the river Spiti. This town serves as the central point for travellers entering the Spiti valley from Shimla or Manali.
Kaza is a beautiful town that is overlooked by high mountain ranges. Talking about the greens, the town has plenty of high-altitude flora & fauna. The town is segregated into two parts: the old and the new, where the old lies on the outer edge. You may go explore the surroundings and also visit the ancient monastery here.
The overnight stay is in a hotel, where you will have a peaceful sleep and a delicious dinner.
Have a delicious breakfast and then step out to explore Kaza in your bike. Visit the key touristic destinations including the Kye Monastery in Langza, the beautiful villages of Kibber, Komic & Hikkim. These villages are among the highest inhabited villages in the world.
Come back to your hotel / homestay in the evening for a delicious dinner and a peaceful sleep.
Today you will be having a scenic ride as you will be riding along the unrestrained Spiti river for the majority of your journey.
After an exciting journey of a couple of hours, you will reach the last motorable point, from where you will have to hike towards the campsite along the beautiful Chandertal lake. The lake is situated at an altitude of 4300 m, on the Samudra Tapu Plateau, overlooking the Chandra River.
Enjoy sitting on the bank of the lake, overlooking the star-lit sky as well as share some motivating tales around the bonfire, before having your dinner or heading out for a restful sleep.
Wake up to a beautiful morning on the banks of the moon-shaped lake and savour the picturesque sunrise. Later, have your breakfast and we’ll then proceed towards Manali via crossing the two most popular high-mountain passes i.e. the Kunzum Pass (4590 m) and the Rohtang Pass (3978 m).
You will be reaching Manali in the evening, where you may have a restful sleep in your hotel after dinner.
Today will be the last day of this enchanting road trip to Spiti. So have a scrumptious breakfast before riding off to Chandigarh.
Enroute Chandigarh, pass through Kullu, Mandi, Bilaspur, Nalagarh, etc and hand over your bikes to our agent. Later, you will be dropped off to the airport, railway station, bus station or a cab will take you to back home (depending oin your package).
