Day 1Shimla: Arrival & Sightseeing

You will be greeted by our agent on your arrival in Shimla and he would be assisting you to your hotel, where you may check-in and grab a little rest. After some rest, you will be exploring some of the key attractions in Shimla on foot (as no vehicles are permitted in the core Mall Road area).

The major markets to visit today are: the Mall Road and Lakkar Bazaar. You can treat your taste-buds at some of the cafes & restaurants on the Mall Road and take home wooden souvenirs from Lakkar Bazaar. The Christ Church is located on the Ridge adjoining the Mall and Lakkar Bazaar. The ridge also boasts of a panoramic view of the town as well as the statues of some prominent politicians along with the statue of Mahatma Gandhi.

The other famous buildings to see today are the Gaiety Theatre, General Post Office, St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Old Railway Building and the Gorton Castle.

After exploring the town, you may retire on your hotel room to grab some rest and a delicious dinner.

Day 2Shimla - Kufri

Have a hearty breakfast and then you will be heading towards the Jakhoo Temple to seek the blessings of Lord Hanuman. The tale goes that he rested on the hill-top for some time while carrying the Sanjeevni Butti.

Later, you will be going to the State Museum and the Viceregal Lodge (Institute of Advanced Studies), which used to be the abode of the Governor General of the British India. After that, you will be heading towards Kufri, which is a small town famous for snow, its beautiful landscape and the stunning view it offers of the Himalayan ranges. Here you may enjoy a horse ride (chargeable) upto Mahasu and back and you may also choose to go the Kufri Zoo which is now an abode of the snow leopard, leopard, brown beer, black beer, tibetan wolf, etc.

Later, you may come back to your hotel for a scrumptious dinner and a restful sleep.

Day 3Shimla - Rewalsar - Mandi

After having a delicious breakfast, you will be heading towards Rewalsar, which serves as a pilgrimage center for Hindus, Buddhists and the Sikhs. Here you’ll be visiting the famous holy lake of Rewalsar known as the Rewalsar Tso Pema or the Lotus Lake. After that, you will be visiting the beautiful Zigar Orgyen Choekorling Monastery which also features a 138 ft. high statue of Guru Rinpoche. Later, you will travel 7 kms above the town to visit the Guru Padmasambhava Cave.

After this, you will be continue your journey towards Mandi, which also known as the Kashi of the Himalayas. You will check-in to your hotel here to grab some rest and in the evening, you will be exploring the town to visit some ancient temples like the Trilok Nath Temple, Panch Vaktra Temple and also the Bhootnath Temple (subject to the availability of time).

Later, you will head back to your hotel for a delicious dinner and a good sleep.

Day 4Mandi - Prashar - Manali

After having your breakfast, you will be continuing your journey towards Manali, but with a pit-stop at Prashar. Prashar (2700 m) boasts of the beutiful panoramic views of the snow-covered mountains and the beautiful Prashar Lake with a floating island. It also has a centuries old wooden temple dedicated to Parashar Rishi.

After this, you will continue towards Manali. Enroute Manali, you may choose to visit the beautiful Brishweshwar Temple at Bajaura (near Bhunter). You will be reaching Manali in the evening where you will check-in to your hotel for a delicious dinner and a restful sleep.

Day 5Manali: Sightseeing

Post breakfast, you will be going out to explore Manali. Firstly, you will be visiting the Hadimba Devi Temple to seek her blessings and you will then go visit the Manu Temple in Old Manali. Later you will go towards Vashisht, which is famous for the temple and its hot water spring.

In the afternoon, you will explore the local markets of Old Manali and the Mall Road, followed by a visit to the Tibetan Monastery. Then you will check-in to your hotel for a delicious dinner and a restful sleep.

Day 6Manali - Solang / Rohtang

Have your breakfast and then choose from any of the two options – either go to Solang or visit the Rohtang Pass.

Solang Valley: Solang offers a beautiful view of the snow-capped high mountain ranges. Apart form that, there are a lot of activities available at Solang like paragliding, zorbing, Gondola ride, etc. Later, in the evening, come back to Manali for dinner and to grab a good sleep.

Note: All the activities are available on a direct pay basis and are not included in the tour.

Rohtang Pass: Rohtang is a high mountain pass that connects the Kullu valley to the Lahaul & Spiti valley. You may click picturesque photographs or participate in the activities available at Rohtang and later come back to Manali for a restful sleep and a delicious dinner.

Note: Rohtang Pass remains closed on Tuesdays for maintenance work and in order to visit the Pass on the other days, all the vehicles need to get a special permit from the local government as limited vehicles (800 petrol and 200 diesel vehicles) are allowed per day. As the number of vehicles allowed are very less in number, so sometimes it becomes difficult to secure a permit. In that case, if you wish to visit the Rohtang pass, you may do so by paying some extra money to the local transport union. However, no charges will be deducted from the tour cost.

Day 7Manali - Naggar - Kullu

Today, you will have your breakfast and then start your journey towards Naggar, which served as the scenic capital of the Kullvi Empire in the old days. At Naggar, you will visit the Naggar Castle which offers scenic views of the Pir Panjal ranges; the Roerich’s Are Gallery which is now an inspirational home to artists from all across the globe; and Tripura Sundari Temple. You may also choose to visit the Jana waterfall and some traditional Kullu villages like Jana and Nashala.

Later, you will proceed towards Kullu and enroute Kullu, you may choose to participate in activities like river crossing and river rafting (payable at the spot). On arrival in Kullu, you will check-in to your hotel and then visit the Raghunath Temple in the evening. Come back to your hotel after that for dinner and a good sleep.

Day 8Kullu - Tirthan Valley

Post breakfast, you will visit the Adi-Brahma Temple situated in the Khokan village to seek the blessings of the divine. the temple boasts of a massive wooden structure and has the idols of Adi-Brahma, Garg-Jogni and Manikaran-Jogni.

Later, you will proceed towards the Tirthan Valley, which serves as the gateway to the Great Himalayan National Park. The valley gets it’s name from the Tirthan river, which originates from the glacial springs of Hanskund and then flows into the Beas. Tirthan is an offbeat tourist destination that is ideal for trekking, fishing, wildlife spotting, camping and unraveling the tradition & culture of the remote villages. You may also choose to just sit back and relax among the pine trees to feed your soul with nature’s bounties.

On arrival, you will check-in to your homestay / hotel to grab some rest and then in the afternoon, you may choose to visit a nearby waterfall following a 1 hour trek from the Mata Buddhi Nagin Temple. Then later, come back and have a delicious dinner followed by a peaceful sleep.

Day 9Tirthan Valley: Sightseeing

After breakfast, you can either choose to trek to the Great Himalayan National Park or you may choose to go to the Jalori Pass, from where you may trek up to the Serolsar Lake.

On your way back, you can visit the famous temples of Shringa Rishi and Chehni Kothi (a trek of about 1 hour will take you to Chehni Kothi Temple).

Later, come back to your homestay /  hotel for dinner and a restful sleep.

Day 10Tirthan Valley - Chandigarh

Today, you will have a scrumptious breakfast and you will then proceed back home with unforgettable memories. Your cab driver will drop you at the bus stand, railway station or the airport.
